Ahoy Buccaneers! My name is Becky Schmoyer, and I am so excited to be part of the inaugural crew at Bryan Road Elementary!

I was born and raised in West Virginia until I made NC my home in 1997, when I moved to Corolla (Outer Banks). I spent over 10 years there, met my husband, Doug, and owned a restaurant called “The Flying Dutchman”.

We moved to Garner in 2004 and have three sons, Dylan (14), Tyler (12) and Brady (11). When we are not on a ball field, you will find me at the beach!

I attended Fairmont State University in WV. My love for children began at a very young age when I used to volunteer at church and camps. I have been a pre-k teacher for over 6 years at Garner United Methodist Church.

I look forward to creating an atmosphere where all feel welcomed, excited and successful!
