Hey Buccaneers! I am the original art teacher at Bryan Road, and am excited to welcome Mrs. Morris on as our second art teacher to grow our art program. 

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Art Education at Appalachian State University in 2009 and started teaching in Wake County the very same year. I grew up in and around Garner and now live here with my husband and two daughters. I am proud to be a part of a school that serves my Garner community. 

I have had a passion for art and a curiosity for learning since I was very young. Research supports and I believe that students benefit through participation in art education. In our art room, our Buccaneers ARE artists and are required to make choices, experiment with materials, persevere in the face of challenges, problem solve, think critically, and express themselves. Students will explore a variety of media and learn through mistakes, successes, peer coaching, and teacher facilitation. My goal is to engage students in learning and help them hone skills that will help them succeed in the art room and beyond!
