PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE:

Good Evening, Stallion Families!

Monday marks the one year anniversary of my first day as Principal of Stough Elementary School.  As I reflect back over the past year, I see the highs and lows of being a first-year principal.  Today I am thankful for Maggie Mariella, my leadership partner, and biggest cheerleader.  I hold an abundance of gratitude for the Stough Elementary staff who choose to trust in my leadership and continue to help me sharpen my skills every day by generously sharing their time, talents, and ideas.  I continue to be encouraged by the kind words and actions of the families in our community.  Above all, I am blessed to be a part of a community where educating children is the priority and the needs of all children are recognized and addressed.  Thank you!  It is because of you that I get to live out my dreams.  #StoughProud  #StallionsFirst

From the Broughton Football Coach

  • Fastbreak Football Camp is back for its 7th year! This year's camp will run from Monday, 6/24 to Friday, 6/28 and is open to boys and girls in rising 4th - 8th grades.

  • Fastbreak Football Camp is unique in that it focuses on character, general athletic development, and weight room fundamentals in addition to football specific instruction.  This is a NON-CONTACT/EQUIPMENT camp. Coaches at Fastbreak Football Camp will teach young athletes the key character traits required of good teammates, the fundamentals of the game of football, and the athletic postures and movements necessary to excel in any sport. Instruction will be clear and concrete. Activities will be fun and fast-paced.

  • Register and pay today by visiting www.fastbreakfootballcamp.com.  Financial Aid is available.  No camper will be turned away for financial reasons. More questions? Please email Coach McGuire at fastbreakfootballcamp@gmail.com.

Substitute Teachers

  • Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!  I am excited and grateful!  A good number of you have reached out to me to gather information about becoming a substitute teacher.  Remember, we can use you for any amount of time… as little or as much as you have to give.  To make this process easier, these are the steps to follow.

    • The Wake County Public School System has a process.  You can find it here.  https://www.wcpss.net/subs

    • Once WCPSS has cleared you to sub, and you have gone through orientation, please reach out to our lead secretary, Ann Coventry (acoventry@wcpss.net).  She will help you get set up in the system to accept sub jobs here at Stough.
