Mrs. Alycia Bensen

My name is Alycia Bensen, and I am excited to start my first year at Stough!  I live in Raleigh with my husband, Brad, and our two kids Kailyn and Braeden.  This is my first year of teaching, and I have been a long term sub in Kindergarten, 2nd grade and a temporary teaching position in 3rd grade.  I received my Maters of Arts in Teaching from NC State and also attend East Carolina for my undergraduate.  My goal is to provide a positive and nurturing learning environment for your child to be successful this year. I want my students to become life-long, confident learners who are curious and capable beyond the classroom.  I look forward to a wonderful and exciting school year!

My name is Amanda Hobgood, and I am excited to start my second year at Stough!  I live in Raleigh with my husband, Michael, and our two dogs, Reese and Boomer.  This is my seventh year of teaching, and I have taught kindergarten and first grade.  I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Ed from UNC-Chapel Hill (Go Heels!)  My goal is to provide a positive and nurturing learning environment for your child to be successful this year. I want my students to become life-long, confident learners who are curious and capable beyond the classroom.  I look forward to a wonderful and exciting school year!

My name is Hanxuan Zhang, also known as Karena. I am excited to start my second year at Stough! I live in Raleigh with my husband, Yi. This is my sixth year of teaching, and I have taught in elementay in Chengdu for four years, where is in the southwest of China, the panda and hotpot come. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Education from Chengdu University. My goal is to provide a positive and global learning environment for your child to be successful this year. I want my students to become life-long, confident learners and have a global view to explore the world. I look forward to a wonderful and exciting school year!
