Mrs. Kendall Hayzlett

My name is Kendall Hayzlett (formerly Kendall DeLong) and this is my fourth year at Stough! I also taught kindergarten for one year in Dayton, Ohio before moving to North Carolina. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Bowling Green State University (in Ohio). I also obtained a minor in Spanish while studying abroad in Madrid, Spain.

I am very excited to be working with the students and parents in kindergarten this year! My goal is to give your child the foundational skills that are necessary in order to be a successful and independent learner throughout his or her education. I believe that parent and teacher communication and collaboration are essential in your child’s education so I encourage you to contact me with any questions or concerns.

My name is Xinyue Yuan and I have been teaching for 5 years. I am from SiChuan China. When I was in China, I taught students Chinese while also teaching Chinese students English. This is the third year I have been teaching Chinese here at Stough.

My goal for your child is to help them to improve their Chinese reading, writing, and listening skills. I also want to introduce the Chinese culture to them. For example, in my class, we still do mental abacus calculation, which can help them to improve their calculation in math. My hope is that all of this  will be like a bridge to connect two cultures together.
