Greetings Stough Families!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! As we begin another exciting week at Stough, we’re thrilled to share some amazing news and celebrations from across our school community.

First, a huge congratulations to our students and staff, Stough has been named a Magnet School of Excellence and was formally recognized by Magnet Schools of America last week! This national recognition represents the values and commitments that define our school. It reflects the strength of our magnet program, the dedication of our staff, the excellence of our students, and the ongoing partnership with our families. Thank you for all you do to make Stough such a special place to learn and grow!

We’re also incredibly proud to announce that over 30 students from our 3rd Grade Chinese Immersion Program recently participated in the 2025 National Chinese Talent Contest, organized by the Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools (CLASS). This national competition celebrates students’ language skills, cultural knowledge, and creativity.

Our students shined!

• 6 students earned First Place

• 13 students earned Second Place

• 8 students earned Third Place

• 9 students received Honorable Mention

Additionally, a special congratulations to Ms. Zhou’s 1st grade class, which placed 2nd in the Immersion Group Language Category! 

We are so proud of our students and grateful for the strong support from our families.

Finally, a reminder that there will be no school this Friday, April 18th, in observance of the Good Friday holiday.
