Principal's Message, 9-30-22
Greetings Stough Families,
I hope that everyone has had a great week and is staying safe during this storm. There is no make-up day required for today's inclement weather day. The District is using banked instructional hours.
Here are your weekly updates.
1. Welcome to October! Next week is a five-day week of school.
2. This week in P2, we studied teamwork. Next week, we will move to open-mindedness. Consider continuing the conversation about our weekly traits with your families. Here's the link with more resources on open-mindedness.
As we move to October, I also want to share this message about anti-bullying from P2:
We know that October is National Bullying Prevention Month. As many of you are aware, P2 is an upstream approach to preventing bullying. By teaching students how to build positive relationships (through the Other People Mindset elements) and how to tap into their character strengths (such as kindness, integrity, bravery, and more), Partner Schools (like Stough) are showing students "what right looks like" in how they treat other people.
3. A note about AIG for 4th/5th Grade Families:
Parents of 4th and 5th graders who are interested in having their student screened for AIG services may nominate their student any time during the school year. Students who meet the new identification criteria may be tested in October or January. Not all students who are nominated for screening will be tested. For more information or to nominate your student, please email Mrs. Cecconi-Roberts at lcecconi-roberts@wcpss.net.
4. Also for 4th/5th Grade Families from the WCPSS Magnet Office:
