CHROMEBOOK REQUESTS
At the beginning of each school year, the media center staff requests Chromebooks for all newly enrolled students. Requests have been placed for Chromebooks for all of our new students, and we continue to place requests as new students enroll. We are currently waiting for the requested devices to be delivered from Technology Services. When the Chromebooks are delivered to the school, the media center staff will contact students to pick up their device during the school day.
2023 FOOD DRIVE
The annual SHS Food Drive kicks off with the Spartan Sprint on Saturday Sept. 30. Consider sponsoring!
SPARTAN STRONG ANNUAL GIVING CAMPAIGN
Our PTO Spartan Strong Annual Giving Campaign is officially underway! Each year our Sanderson PTO supports a variety of initiatives that are vital to our school's success. Our goal is to raise $30,000 in the month of September to give added support to our teachers and students this school year. We invite you to donate at whatever level is meaningful for your family. EVERY gift matters and ALL gifts are confidential! DONATE TODAY!!!
CARPOOL REMINDERS
Carpool users must enter Dixon Dr. via North Hills Dr. See map.
- Turn left into the Sanderson parking lot from Dixon Dr.
- Follow the cones and turn left into the drop off/pick up zone.
- Please pull all the way down into the unloading area.
For student safety, please utilize our carpool lanes. Do not utilize Bexley Springs retirement community or Dixon Drive as drop-off zones for students. Additionally, please do not use our student parking lot or bus lot as a drop off location.
When picking up in the carpool lane, please pull all the way forward.
ATHLETIC EVENTS POLICY REMINDER
As we are in full swing of fall sports, a few reminders for spectators:
No balls are allowed into stadium or gym by spectators.
There are no passes out after entry.
Outside food or beverages are not permitted. Visit the SAC Concession Stand!
Young children must always be supervised by an adult, including on the stadium concourse.
Smoking/Vaping is prohibited on WCPSS property. The Board strictly prohibits all narcotics, alcoholic beverages, unauthorized prescription drugs, and similar substances at schools and school-sponsored activities.
SCHOOL MEAL PRICES FOR REDUCED-PRICE ELIGIBLE STUDENTS
CNS has received numerous communications from the Department of Public Instruction that impact the student co-pay for reduced-price eligible students. Due to changing information being released, WCPSS has decided to continue to allow reduced-price eligible students to receive breakfast and lunch at no cost to allow more time for further consideration. Need to apply for free or reduced-price meals? Information for the 23-24 school year, including an online application, can be found on the WCPSS website.

SENIOR FAMILY NIGHT PRESENTATION
View the presentation from Thursday's Senior Night. The Senior Brag Sheet, Senior Timeline/Important Dates, College Application checklist, Graduation Gear, and more is there.
SENIOR MEETINGS WITH COUNSELOR
Counselors will meet with seniors, individually, between September 18 - October 31, 2023. Meetings will be approximately 10-25 min. to include discussing each student’s graduation requirements, post HS plans, next steps for those plans, and to answer questions students may have. The schedule of senior meetings as well as more details can be found on the SHS Senior Info page.
Seniors are encouraged to complete the SHS “brag sheet” (and resume if they have it). The brag sheet should be completed thoroughly and thoughtfully because it helps counselors write strong letters of recommendation. Students are encouraged to bring the brag sheet to their senior meeting or before a recommendation is needed.
SENIOR T-SHIRTS
Seniors who need to purchase a senior shirt can see Ms. Rhodes in Rm 221 before or after school, beginning Tuesday, September 5th. The shirts are $10, must be purchased in cash, and please bring exact change.
CAP, GOWN & TASSEL ORDERS FROM JOSTENS
Online ordering is now open for cap/gown packages through Jostens.
SENIOR YEARBOOK PORTRAITS
Class of ’24 can schedule senior yearbook pictures with http://prestigeportraits.com/studio. Studio portraits focus on seniors interested in casual portraits along with their yearbook poses. Prestige will come to Sanderson October 24 for students who do not want to do the full senior photo session (no cost, yearbook photo only).
