Seniors – Stadium Commencement
For students confirmed for stadium commencement on June 10, review the graduate handbook. Rehearsal June 9 is required for all students intending to walk. Tickets and regalia are available for pick up in main office during school days. Search your email for email@example.com for details.
We are thrilled to recognize the students in these presentations as well as the students recognized by their teachers in the classroom last week! Bravo!
Check Your Student’s Transportation Status for 21-22
View your student’s 2021-22 Transportation status via your student’s Homebase/Powerschool account. Your student’s AM and/or PM transportation codes will display “Y” (yes) or “N” (no) for the 2021-22 school year until routes are posted. Read more here.
CLASS OF 2021: Before You Leave WCPSS
Students must return all assigned WCPSS equipment to their school on or before their last day of school.
Students finishing the school year will have access to WCPSS accounts through June 30. To keep any content, be sure to back it up before June 30.
WCPSS Chromebooks and WiFi Hotspots - What to Return and What to Keep
Any student who has a WCPSS-issued hotspot must return it to their school by the end of the school year. Hotspots will be disabled after the last day of school. Students who have a WCPSS-issued Chromebook will keep their Chromebook through the transition to the 2021-22 school year. Students are not required to return their Chromebooks to their school at the end of this school year, even if they are transferring or advancing to another WCPSS school. Students who are graduating or leaving WCPSS are required to return all devices to their school on or before their last day.
Important: All Students Will Receive Free School Meals For the 2021-22 School Year
Breakfast and lunch will be available at no cost to students for the 2021-22 school year. While the district may be able to offer free meals to all students, it is very important for eligible parents to complete a meal benefits application because this data enables schools to obtain funding to provide other important educational resources to benefit students. Other benefits that are issued directly to families that have applied and are eligible for meal benefits may also be available (such as the P-EBT cash benefit). Parents can complete a meal benefits application online at https://www.myschoolapps.com/. Paper applications also are available at all schools. More: WCPSS Free & Reduced Meals.
Rising Seniors - Meningococcal Booster Vaccine REQUIRED!
North Carolina law requires all rising 12th graders receive a meningococcal vaccine booster before starting 12th grade. This includes students enrolled in the Virtual Academy. The vaccination must be done before the 21-22 school year begins. Parents will need to provide a copy of their child’s immunization record showing proof that the meningococcal vaccine has been completed prior to the first day of school. This is a 2-dose immunization; the 1st dose was required in the 7th grade in Wake County schools. Click here for more information
