    SCHOOL WIDE UPDATES

    3 YEAR GRADUATION INFORMATION

For first-time 9th grade students who might be interested in graduating from high school in 3 years, please visit our website for more information and application. To be eligible for the scholarship money from the state, you do have to submit the application by August 29. The application can be turned in to Student Services directly or emailed to the Dean of Students Ms. Johnson Ward (djohnson-ward@wcpss.net).

ON THE MOVE: ROUTE INFO FOR TRADITIONAL CALENDAR SCHOOLS

Registered bus riders on traditional calendars should have received an email on Aug. 15 with detailed information about their bus stops and estimated pick-up and drop-off times. Bus routes will no longer be posted on the public website. Families can find instructions for accessing bus route details in Campus Parent via Infinite Campus. These instructions are also available in the Transportation section of every school website and at wcpss.net/routes.

Review bus rider rules and expectations with your student prior to the first day.

    CARPOOL REMINDERS

For student safety, please only utilize our carpool lanes. Do not utilize Bexley Springs retirement community, Dixon Drive, Optimist Park, Student Parking Lot or the Bus Lot as drop-off OR pick-up zones for students.

In addition to pedestrian safety, this creates a backup of traffic so that buses cannot depart on time and the carpool cannot move efficiently.

The way to make carpool move faster is to follow our directions (online) and:

    • FOLLOW SET TRAFFIC PATTERNS (no left turns, etc.)
    • PULL ALL THE WAY FORWARD
    • PUT STUDENT POSSESSIONS IN THE CAR, NOT THE TRUNK
    • DO NOT PARK IN NO STANDING ZONES (You may be ticketed by RPD!)

    INFINITE CAMPUS PARENT ACCOUNTS

Information on how to create a parent account will be emailed directly from WCPSS. You will receive an email from SIS-Notifications@wcpss.net with instructions on how to create your account. Please check your spam/junk folder for this email. They will be sent weekly until you configure your account. When you log in you will not be able to view anything yet.

View the Parent and Student Portal walkthrough video from the Department of Public Instruction (DPI)

    INFINITE CAMPUS STUDENT ACCOUNTS

    • Returning WCPSS students – from the WakeID Portal, you’ll click on “Homebase” and then select “NCSIS - PSU 920”. You will not be able to view anything yet.
    • New to WCPSS students - Instructions on Accessing WakeID are linked here. The first time a student logs in, the password is their student ID number. They will be prompted to create a new password after the initial login. After you’ve logged in, from the WakeID Portal, you’ll click on “Homebase” and then select “NCSIS - PSU 920”. You will not be able to view anything yet.

SCHEDULES AND COURSE CHANGE REQUESTS INFORMATION

Schedules will be available to view a week before school starts. If your student has any Course Correction Requests, they must read the Course Correction Request Guidelines and follow the process. Please do not email course correction requests. Course Correction Requests can only be made via our Course Correction Request Form that will be live from Friday, August 22 at 6 am - Friday, August 29 at 3 pm. Thank you on behalf of Student Support Services.
