PSAT / NMSQT FOR 9-11TH (OPTIONAL)

Sanderson is administering the Pre-SAT / National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test on October 16.  This test is optional, and registration is required. The PSAT/NMSQT contains items with Algebra I and some Geometry concepts, so if students have not completed Math I, they may be better served to take it in a future year.  While all high school students can register to take the PSAT/NMSQT, the district will pay for 11th grade students who are likely to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship. The district will pay for the administration of current WCPSS 11th grade students who have a GPA in the top 10% of the district (4.4>). Eleventh grade students with a GPA below the cutoff who want to participate will pay the exam fee.  All other students interested in taking the PSAT/NMSQT can pay to take the assessment at a cost of $15.12 for 11th grade students with a GPA below the cutoff and $16.56 for all other grade levels.

Please contact our testing coordinator with any questions: shs-testing@wcpss.net

Students can also take the official PSAT practice tests and get diagnostic information that can be used to improve future performance. These tests can be found here.
