  • Jostens on Campus!

    Jostens will be on campus on Thursday, Dec 13th to deliver class rings / jewelry during lunch. Any remaining balance due must be paid in full in order to receive your ring / jewelry.

    Seniors, this will be the FINAL make-up day to place an order for your graduation cap, tassel & gown unit and other senior products on Thursday, Dec. 13th during lunch. The deposit is $60.

  • Holiday Choral Concert

    The Wakefield High School Choral Department would like to invite you to attend our annual holiday concert, "Tis the Season to Sing", this Friday, December 7 At 7:00 PM. The concert will be held at St. Marks United Methodist Church located at 4801 Six Forks Rd. just north of North Hills Mall in Raleigh.

  • Practice ACT Exam

    If you have signed up to take the Practice ACT Exam on December 8th, please remember to report to campus no later than 7:30 am. Students should report to the media center for check in and to receive testing location information. Students should bring two number 2 pencils and a calculator on test day. Please remember that transportation is not provided and parents are asked to be on campus no later than 12 pm to pick up their students.

  • Congratulations Indoor Track Team!

    The Wakefield Boys and Girls Indoor Track team had a strong showing at the Red Ram Polar Bear Meet at Franklinton High School. Both Teams dominated the Sprints finishing top 5 in every race. The Boys was led by current NC leader Reggie Barlow in the 55m dash. Other top finishers were Kyle Lipscomb, Josiah Alexander, Will Randall, Maurice Jones and AJ Christian. The Girls was led by Daijon Lee, Jasmine Wilson-Johnson and Amaya Adair.

  • Are you thinking about becoming a teacher?

    NC Teaching Fellows Scholarship is a 4 year scholarship for students willing to work as a teacher in NC. NCSU will be on campus on December 4th to talk about their program. Please see Mrs. Joyner in Student Services to get a pass to attend.

  • Congratulations!

    WHS wrestlers attended the Matthew/Griffin/Burt Invitational Tournament this past weekend. All wrestlers gave a great effort and Andrew Meyers and Isaiah Willet brought home gold medals for WHS.

  • Women's Self Defense Class

    There will be a WOMEN'S SELF DEFENSE CLASS here at Wakefield on December 18th from 3-4:30p. It is given to us FREE and being taught by a master Taekowndo instructor! This is for students AND staff both. There is a permission slip & sign up in Student Services. See Ms. T for more details!

    Our Wakefield High School Food Pantry, in partnership with Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry, is now open!   • Senior Fee

    Attention Seniors: Reminder that senior fees are still available to be paid online through the school's website. The fee is $50 and can be accessed through the Senior page. Deadline to pay is January 17th and currently 318 Seniors still haven't paid their fee yet. So get this Senior requirement checked off today!
