Hi Aversboro Families. I received my Architectural degree from The City College of City University of New York.  Relocating to North Carolina has transitioned me into the classroom with the Lovies. Assisting children and watching them develop is so fulfilling.  I'm a wife and a mom of a 3rd & 8th grade students.  Family, travel and supporting my children's dreams is everything to me.

My name is Tanya Casatelli. This will be my 4th year at Aversboro Elementary working as an Instructional Assistant in Kindergarten. I have also worked in Johnston County as an Instructional Assistant, Choices Director and tutor for grades K-5. I love working with children and watching them grow throughout the year! When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling to new places!

My name is Sabine Hoefner and I am currently working as an Instructional Assistant in Pre K at Aversboro Elementary. I was born and raised in Germany and have been living in the United States for about 25 years. I have been living in Garner for the last 24 years and have raised 2 awesome children who are currently attending UNC Chapel Hill and NCSTATE Universities. I have been working for Wake County Public schools for about ten years and have really enjoyed watching your children learn and grow every year.

Mrs. Ada Holder, Instructional Assistant

My name is Ada Holder and this is my 15th year at Aversboro Elementary working as an Instructional Assistant. Before coming to work at Aversboro, I was a Substitute Teacher for Johnston County School for 5 years. I've work at Power House Of Prayer Christian Child Care Center every summer for several years. I love working with children, it brings me joy to see them learn and grow each day. I look forward to coming to work each day just to see the students and how they are learning and growing. When I am not Aversboro, I enjoy reading my Bible and going to church. I love going to the beach with my husband and watching movies eating popcorn!! The most important thing in the world to me is my family!

My name is Tracy Mithchell.  I have worked at Aversboro as an Instructional Assistant for 4 ½ years.  I’ve worked in both second and first grades, with the latter being for the past 2.  This will be my third year as a first grade Instructional Assistant.  I have been in NC for 21 years and have two children that went through Aversboro, from Kindergarten through fifth grade. One is now in college and the other will be a junior in high school.   I started out as a substitute teacher.  I love working with students to help them achieve their academic goals. Whether it’s reading with them, helping them in math or having them show me how to do something on the computer, I enjoy it!  These little ones are our future and I enjoy watching them grow to their full potential!

Hello Aversboro Owl families! My name is Grace Scudiero and I am excited to begin my second year as an Instructional Assistant at Aversboro Elementary. Prior to working at Aversboro, I was an Instructional Assistant in Johnston County. I moved to North Carolina in 2018 and love it here. When I am not working, I enjoy taking long walks, going for bike rides, and spending time with my family.

Ms. Jaye Smith, Instructional Assistant

Whoo Whoo!! Are you ready for an OWLsome year? My name is Jaye Smith. I joined the Aversboro community in the spring of 2020. I am a graduate of Meredith College where I received my Bachelors of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Child Development and a minor in Psychology. After graduating from Meredith, I served as a WCPSS Teacher Assistant (TA) in a developmentally delayed preschool classroom and later served as a TA in an AUII classroom. After two years as a TA, I went back to school, completed my graduate certificate in Special Education, while getting my Birth-Kindergarten license from UNC Greensboro.  I am the proud parent of my Frenchie name “Molly” and a guinea pig name “Bella”. I enjoy painting, watching food channels and fishing in my spare time.
