Hello Aversboro Families! I have been a School Counselor at Aversboro Elementary for 22 years. I received my Master’s in School Counseling from North Carolina Central University. I received National Board Certification  in 2008. I am from a small town in NC. I have been married for 12 years to my awesome husband. In my free time I enjoy reading a good book, watching movies, and  spending time with my family. It brings me great joy to be a School Counselor. Mrs. Jody Bresee, School Social Worker

Hello, my name is Jody Bresee and I am honored to be the school social worker at Aversboro ES. I earned both by BSW and MSW from Florida State University. In addition to being a School Social Worker, I also have my LCSW. My job as the SSW is to be a liaison between student, their families, school, and the community. SSW’s help to identify and remove barriers, problem solve, provide support for crisis, emotional and behavioral support concerns, obtain mental health services, provide services for families in transition or foster care, assist with and promote attendance at school. Mr. Orlando Dobbin, School Counselor

Hello Owls! My name is Orlando Dobbin, and I am one of the school counselors at Aversboro serving students primarily in grades 3-5. This is my 6th year as a School Counselor. Before becoming a school counselor, I worked as a houseparent at a foster care facility and a program coordinator with college access programs. Outside of work, I love writing & telling stories, traveling, and competing in triathlons!

Mrs. Stephanie Taggart, Speech Language Pathologist

I am Stephanie Taggart, the Speech Language Pathologist based at Aversboro Elementary.  This is my third year working with an amazing special education team at Aversboro and my 9th year working in the public schools.  I have over 24 years experience as a Speech Language Pathologist working in private practice and the schools with children in early intervention through high school.  I enjoy working with students to help them improve their success in their classroom.  I live in Wake County with my two children 14 and 17 years old, my husband, and our dog.  I enjoy running, walking, reading, scrapbooking and baking!
