Advanced Placement (AP) Resources:
If you are taking an AP exam, please make sure you have done these two (2) things to be ready for your AP exam(s):
1. Verify that you are registered for the AP exam - by registering for your AP course in AP Classroom. To do this, students will log into their CollegeBoard account and click AP Classroom. There are links below on how to create your account and joining information below. Upon doing this, you should see the confirmation of your exam date(s)/time(s) at the top of the AP Classroom homepage. If you have questions, see your teacher for the Join Code - if you have trouble logging in - you must CALL CollegeBoard, we are not able to reset passwords for student accounts. This is covered for Fall courses in the first week of September and for Spring courses in January.
- If you are taking an AP course and sign up in AP Classroom, you are AUTOMATICALLY signed up to take the exam - and there is NO fee. You must opt out by emailing Mr. DeGeeter (rdegeeter@wcpss.net) by November 14th for fall courses or March 13th for spring courses if you do not wish to take the corresponding exam.
- Students in first semester must sign up by November 14th and spring semester must sign up by March 13th. If you do not sign up by these dates, or choose to not sit and take the exam in May, when an exam was ordered, there is a $40 fee (cancelation and no show) from CollegeBoard that you must pay. Payment may be made in cash or check to "Green Level High School" and pay at the front office on school days from 7am-3pm. This must be paid for students to get graduation tickets.
2. Mark your calendars (the date AND time) and plan accordingly - CollegeBoard AP Schedule. These exams are set by CollegeBoard - please do not plan events in this window as it is a national exam and must be taken at the date and time listed - there are VERY limited true exceptions to taking exams outside the window and most situations do not apply. Please plan accordingly for May 2025.

SAT Resources:
- The SAT is a college readiness exam from the CollegeBoard program - this is one option that colleges/institutions consider in admissions. Please note, it is ONE of many different areas of admissions - not the only one!
- There are two SAT sections: Math and Evidence-Based Reading and Writing. The SAT also includes an optional Essay section. SAT Essay scores are reported separately from overall test scores.
- Students will register on CollegeBoard.org and follow the instructions to select a testing location. Click the link to SAT to register.
- This process can take some time and requires payment so we recommend registering with your parent/guardian for support.
- Green Level is not a testing location - but you will be able to see the closest locations offering testing near you.
- If you would like help to register, please see your school counselor - we can help!
- Financial Assistance is available - waivers require a simple form that must be signed by a parent/guardian and you can pick them up in Student Services.
