Hello Eagles!

I’m Bernard “Bill” Crippen and am excited to be a part of this amazing community at Vandora Springs Elementary!  I am a long-time teacher from Florida, where I was at my last school for 25 years!  Leaving that school family has been tough, but I am so happy to be a part of this new one.

Though I recently moved to North Carolina, I am familiar with the state as I attended Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem (at some point during the last century!), worked as a camp counselor for two summers on Lake Gaston, and spent many a holiday on the outer banks and in the mountains.  North Carolina has always been a sort of home away from home.  Now it is home.

I enjoy spending time with my two college-age daughters, following Florida Panthers hockey, and keeping up with ACC athletics.  I love to travel and explore as much as possible and have been known to get excited anytime I visit Disney World.  

Again, I am so happy to be here at this fabulous school, Vandora Springs!  Go Eagles!!
