Hello Eagles!

I am Matthew Watson and am excited to teach 5th grade at Vandora!

I grew up in West Virginia, attended West Liberty University, and received my master's degree at UNC. I have lived and taught in the Garner area since 2006 and have taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. I love building a rapport with each student and making their last year in elementary school a year to remember.

I aim for every student to feel safe, have a voice, and develop their problem-solving skills while having a positive learning experience.

During my free time, I love spending time with my wife Victoria, our son Cash, and Betsie, our dog. I also enjoy playing golf, watching sports (all sports), listening to music, and playing with Matchbox cars!
