I am a Kindergarten Instructional Assistant for Vandora Springs Elementary School. I have been at Vandora Springs since November 2021. My education background before becoming an IA here includes 3 years as a high school art teacher, 1 year as a middle school art teacher, and ½ a year as a full-time substitute teacher. I am originally from Plymouth, North Carolina. My family and I relocated to Garner in September of 2020. I have been with my husband since 2010, and we have been married since 2015! Together, we have one son, and a set of identical twin daughters! I enjoy working in the school environment because I love to see children grow into themselves and I always keep their best interest at the front of my heart. I enjoy getting lots of cute little drawings and great big hugs from the little ones! It's always the little things in life that are the most important!...and I cherish it all!

I love spending time with my family, friends, and church! I absolutely LOVE anything involving ART & DESIGN! I am such a creator and creative person! I love to draw and paint, and I really love teaching art techniques to others, especially while hosting one of my awesome paint and sip parties! I have a passion for event planning & decor, and I love bringing someone’s vision to life for their wedding or special event! Last but CERTAINLY not least, I LOVE serving for and repping my Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Incorporated!
