My name is Mrs. Vogt, and I have been a part of the Vandora Family since 2013! I have been teaching since 2011, and I can truly say Vandora holds a special place in my heart. I love the relationships I have built with the staff, students, and their families. My husband and I are originally from Upstate New York, in a little town called Lowville. I attended SUNY Empire State College, where I earned a Bachelor's of Science in Human Development. I attended SUNY Potsdam College, where I earned a Master of Science in Early Childhood Education - Birth through 6th grade. 

 

My family moved to NC to escape the harsh winters. What we found was the beauty of Southern Hospitality. Yes! That really is a thing!  We have two adult children, Ashanti and Tristan, and 2 Bernedoodles, Honey Dew and Willow Faith!

 

I believe every child will do well, if they can! My first and primary goal is always to build trust through a positive relationship with my students AND their family! When we work together, we can make anything possible!

For fun, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach, going to the lake, and being outside. I love to read, walk, shop, and garden my herbs (cilantro, basil, peppermint, and rosemary)! Some of my favorite things include Mexican food, being in the sun, trips to the Caribbean, and binge-watching TV series. My favorite colors are fluorescent pink and green!
