Hi Eagle families,

My name is Ms. Phoenix and I am super excited about having the chance to SOAR, learn, and grow with each of you all again this school year! I started teaching second grade at VSE in 2020. I grew up in Raleigh, NC and attended schools around the area during my K-12th grade years. After graduating high school, I attended The University of North Carolina at Charlotte to obtain my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Child & Family Development. After college, I moved back to Garner to begin my career with Vandora Springs, and I could not be happier to be among the students, families, and community!

I have a tight-knit family that I absolutely love, and a fur-son named Tony who I adore and keeps me on my toes. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with loved ones, going out to eat, binge watching movies, and traveling to new places. I cannot wait to get to know each of you and look forward to having an amazing school year!
