Mrs. Yoselin Flores

Hello! My name is Yoselin Flores, and I'm thrilled to be a part of MECME's Fourth Grade Team for my second year. But before I tell you about that, let me share a little about myself.

I grew up in the beautiful town of Rockville, Maryland, and my educational journey led me to Towson University, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Special Education (I am dual certified to teach general education k-6 and special education K-12). Life then took me to Knightdale, North Carolina, where I met and married my amazing husband. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy biking, traveling, tending to my garden, and exploring new restaurants with my husband, Israel. I'm also a proud cat parent to Champa and Paola, who bring joy to my everyday life.

I'm super proud and excited to continue my teaching journey at MECME. I look forward to an amazing year ahead with my fourth-grade students, and I can't wait to see them flourish!

Why I love our magnet theme...

I love the fact that we can introduce a sense of environmental responsibility in students at a young age. We have the opportunity to teach them about the importance of protecting our planet and the environment around them. This can lead to a generation that cares deeply about environmental issues and they can work towards a greener future.
