I am an "almost native" of Raleigh, having moved here with my family when I was 7 years old. I completed my undergraduate degree at UNC-Chapel Hill and have Master of Education degrees in Elementary Education and in Counseling from UNC-Greensboro. My husband, David, and I have 4 children, and are recent "empty nesters" as our youngest graduated from high school in June 2020. Fun fact: I, along with our 4 children, all graduated from Sanderson High School here in Wake County!

When I'm not at school, you may find me baking in the kitchen, walking or playing outside, trying to create art, or curled up with a good book.
