I grew up in Charlotte, NC and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor's in Mathematics. Go Tar Heels! Afterwards, I received my Masters in Teaching from Meredith College. I have lived and taught in Raleigh for 7 years, and I am so excited to be teaching here at MECME!

In my free time, you'll find me kayaking, puzzling or spending time with my wife and two dogs, Tucker and Scout. I also especially love watching my sports teams (Tar Heels, Canes, Braves, Panthers) and reading mystery crime novels.

Why I teach...

I teach to inspire and open doorways for all children. Every school year, it is my goal to make sure that my students know they have a teacher who cares about their well-being, respects them as unique individuals and motivates them to persevere through challenges.
