Joye Mullis
My name is Joye Mullis and I am thrilled to be back on staff at Combs! I first joined the Combs family in 2005 as a teacher for deaf and hard of hearing students. Although I left the classroom in 2010 to become a full-time stay-at-home mom, all three of my children have had the privilege of attending Combs – from 2014 to now! While I’ve spent the last handful of years volunteering in classrooms, I am looking forward to being back in one as an Instructional Assistant for our PreK leaders. I grew up on the coast of North Carolina and went to college at UNC-Greensboro, where I was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow and graduated with a degree in Deaf Education. Shortly after graduation, I moved to Raleigh and have called this area “home” since 2005! My husband and I have three children (four, if you count our pug) and we enjoy traveling together, listening to music, watching movies, and the occasional MarioKart competition.
