My name is Lexi Brown, and I am so excited to be teaching 3rd grade at AB Combs! I moved to the Raleigh area from Galax, Virginia in 2020 to begin my teaching career. I am a graduate of Liberty University with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I have experience teaching fifth grade, first grade, and kindergarten. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, yoga, and reading. I am so grateful to be teaching at AB Combs and am looking forward to a successful year!

My name is Alexander Butler and I have been working in education since 2013. I have held a variety of roles including lecturing, teaching and pastoral, working with students aged from as young as 4 to as old as 21. I have worked in the U.K. and the UAE (Abu Dhabi) where I taught children from all around the world and learned about many different cultures. Before working in education, I served in the British military for nearly six years. I was a radio communicator onboard HMS Marlborough in the Royal Navy. I am from Kent, England and excited to begin this new and wonderful opportunity that I have been given. I have a Post Graduate Diploma and a Masters Degree in Education from Canterbury Christ Church University. My teaching philosophy is very simple. I believe every child matters and that every child has the potential to achieve great things and become a champion.

I am delighted to be a part of the AB Combs team! I earned my degree in Elementary Education with a STEM concentration from North Carolina State University (Go Pack!). I grew up in Raleigh and have always been passionate about cultivating a love for learning in students. Outside the classroom, I enjoy going to the beach, rooting for the Wolfpack, watching Disney movies, and enjoying quality time with loved ones. Being a member of this inspiring community is a true privilege, and I look forward to fostering an environment where all students can flourish.

My name is Crystal Mallia Hadley. I moved to North Carolina from Michigan in August of 2008 to start my teaching career. I taught for eight years in Harnett County and served as the Leader in Me Chairperson at my previous school. I am a graduate of Saginaw Valley State University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with minors in Math and English.  I student taught 2nd grade and worked as a Title I Teacher for K-5 elementary school in Michigan.  I was also a manager of a scrapbooking store for seven years before I became a teacher. Teaching is my first passion in life.  My second passion in life is scrapbooking.  I love to scrapbook my family, my friends, and the places I’ve visited.  I can’t wait to start our classroom scrapbook.  I also love to read, go to the beach, go on walks, and sing karaoke. My all-time favorite thing to do is spend time with family and friends, especially my husband and son. I am very grateful to be at Combs Elementary.  I’m looking forward to teaching and living the Habits with the wonderful staff and students here at this fine school.  3rd Grade Website

My name is Erin Knight, and I am thrilled to be teaching 3rd grade at AB Combs! I grew up in Charlotte, NC and graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a STEM concentration. I completed my student teaching in second grade at AB Combs, and started teaching here in 2014. In my spare time, I enjoy making crafts, trying out new recipes, attending NC State sporting events, and spending time with my friends and family. Teaching is my passion, and I look forward to sharing it with my students so that they may also recognize their worth and potential. 

My name is Lindsey Stogner and I am delighted to be teaching 3rd grade here at AB Combs! I am from Clayton, NC and graduated from East Carolina University(Go Pirates!) with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a concentration in reading. I student taught in 3rd grade in Johnston County and began my teaching career in 2021. In my spare time I enjoy reading, doing yoga, baking, and spending time with my friends and family. I look forward to this coming school year with my students and I hope to help them realize their potential as leaders. 

Mrs. Webb is a proud product of the Wake County Public School System, attending Stough, Martin, and Broughton! After earning her degree in Early Childhood Education, she taught toddler and pre-k students for over 15 years before stepping away from education to stay home with her son, Liam. When Liam became a KinderGator, she fell in love with Combs, and the following year, she began her own Combs journey as a part-time instructional assistant in the Pre-K classroom. While at Combs, Mrs. Webb attended William Peace University and obtained her NC teaching license. She is currently working on her Masters of Urban Education at UNC-Charlotte. When she’s not at school, Mrs. Webb spends as much time as she can with her husband, son, dog, cats, and chickens. She is also an avid reader and crafter and can often be found in her favorite chair, reading a good book or crafting while listening to an audiobook.
