• Welcome to the East Wake High School Media Center!

East Wake High School (formerly known as Vaiden Whitley High School) is located in Wendell, NC. The school was subdivided into four separate smaller schools, but was unified into one large high school starting in the 2015-2016 school year.

High School students moved into the brand-new Vaiden Whitley High School, which is located on the East Wake High School campus on Rolesville Rd., in 1966. From 1965 until 1976 high school students from the Knightdale attendance area attended Vaiden Whitley High School along with high school students from Wendell.  In 1977 another new high school opened adjacent to Vaiden Whitley High School.  It was named East Wake High School.

Our current enrollment is 1,257 students.   Our mascot is the Warrior. Our Library Media Center was last renovated in 1999.  This school year we received new furniture, new furniture displays, new student Chromebooks (160), Drivers Education laptops (45), and 5 large flat-screen TVs.
