  • Schedule Change Requests

Student schedules for the 2019-2020 school year were placed in the mail on Monday, August 12th for all students registered at that time. Students that already have access to WakeID and PowerSchool can also review their schedule by logging into their account.

Extensive time was spent developing a master schedule that provides the best educational opportunities for our students.  Schedule changes have serious effects on staffing, class sizes and academic programs. Schedule change requests must be submitted electronically using the link below! All schedule changes will take place before the first day of school. No schedules will be changed on or after August 26.  If a course is dropped after the 10th day of the semester, the course will appear on the transcript as WF (Withdraw Failing).

Schedule corrections will only be considered for the following reasons:

    • Student is scheduled in a course he/she has previously passed.
    • Student is scheduled in a class that has a prerequisite that has not been completed.
    • Student is missing a class required to meet a graduation requirement (for on time graduation).
    • Student has more /fewer than 8 classes.
    • Student is placed in wrong level of class.

The following reasons are NOT considered appropriate reasons for schedule changes and will not be honored:

    • Dropping or adding a course because you changed your mind. This includes all AP courses.
    • Block (class period) preference.
    • Teacher preference.

  • Online Paperwork and Physicals for Student-Athletes

Students who want to participate on a sports team at East Wake during the 2019-2020 school year must complete the online paperwork and have a current physical on file with Mr. Pridgen. To complete the online paperwork, go to https://www.wakecountyathletics.com/page/show/1935939-east-wake-participation-forms

Once you complete the online paperwork, either bring a current physical/medical history to Mr. Pridgen or confirm with him that your physical is current. Once you have completed those two things, you will receive a Ticket To Play. Coaches are only taking Tickets To Play. Do not give your coach your paperwork.  Either give it to Mr. Pridgen or turn it in to the front office (during the summer only). Once school starts back, only give your paperwork to Mr. Pridgen. If you have questions, contact Mr. Pridgen at rpridgen@wcpss.net or 252-289-5005.
