East Wake High School Food Pantry
East Wake High houses a food pantry that serves our students, their families and the surrounding communities. We have partnered with The Inter-Faith Food Shuttle who provides food to our school and keeps our pantry filled. Through the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, school pantries provide fresh produce, meats and non-perishable foods to students, staff and community members at 27 schools in Durham, Edgecombe, Johnston and Wake Counties.
If your family or someone you know of in your community is in need, please feel free to call us to make arrangements for pick up/drop off. The only information we need is your family size and availability to obtain the food.
Online Paperwork and Physicals for Student-Athletes
Students who want to participate on a sports team at East Wake during the 2019-2020 school year must complete the online paperwork and have a current physical on file with Mr. Pridgen. To complete the online paperwork, go to https://www.wakecountyathletics.com/page/show/1935939-east-wake-participation-forms
Once you complete the online paperwork, either bring a current physical/medical history to Mr. Pridgen or confirm with him that your physical is current. Once you have completed those two things, you will receive a Ticket To Play. Coaches are only taking Tickets To Play. Do not give your coach your paperwork. Either give it to Mr. Pridgen or turn it in to the front office (during the summer only). Once school starts back, only give your paperwork to Mr. Pridgen. If you have questions, contact Mr. Pridgen at email@example.com or 252-289-5005.
The first is the 8-week GAPS program starting Feb. 29. The second is an online GIS mapmaking competition for students in grades 4-12.
The Office of Student Assignment will host two events to assist families with: address changes, pre-registration for 2020-2021 school year and magnet, year-round and transfer applications.
The Project SEARCH program is a unique one-year school-to-work program specifically for Wake County Public School System high school students with disabilities whose goal is competitive employment.
