Mid-Year Graduation
Date: Mid-Year Graduation is January 22, 2025 at 6:30 PM. Graduation will be located at East Wake Magnet High School in the auditorium.
Graduation Attire. Caps and gowns should be worn in a dignified way. Only regalia provided and/or approved by the school is allowed to be worn. Decorating caps or gowns is prohibited. Graduates are not allowed to wear any additional items not provided by the school, including flags. Only honor cords provided by the school and listed in the program can be worn. For graduates that have lost their tassel, a limited number will be available for purchase for $5 from the Herff Jones representative before graduation.
-
For women attending the graduation ceremony, it is recommended to wear a simple, lightweight dress under the graduation robes, ensuring that it does not exceed the length of the gown. Alternatively, dark dress pants are an appropriate choice. Footwear should be limited to black shoes or black dress sandals, while tennis shoes, flip-flops, and boots should be avoided. Jewelry should be kept minimal. Personal items such as purses, handbags, and cameras should be left with a family member.
-
For men, a white dress shirt paired with a bow tie or necktie is recommended. Dark dress pants in blue or black are appropriate, but blue jeans should be avoided. Footwear should consist of black dress shoes and dark socks, steering clear of topsiders, tennis shoes, cowboy boots, and sandals. While a suit coat can be worn, it may be too warm for the occasion.
