Career & College Promise (CCP) Program
Wake Tech’s Career & College Promise (CCP) program offers eligible high school students the opportunity to earn credits toward a college degree or a credential for employment – tuition-free. In many cases, students earn dual credit, meeting high school graduation requirements with college courses.
CCP offers students the opportunity to explore more than 40 academic programs, saving them and their families money on college tuition while also lightening their future course load in college. Students get a feel of the "college experience," and they can boost their admissions profile by demonstrating they are ready for the rigors of college-level classes.
For students not interested in pursuing a college degree, CCP provides a jump-start to career plans, job training, skills and certifications.

Resources & Information for All Students
- CCP Homepage
- CCP Quick Guide
- CCP Presentation (3/14/23) - be sure to expand the speaker's notes on each slide for additional information
- Important Scheduling Details:
-
- Wake Tech’s calendar does NOT align with the WCPSS calendar. These are two separate institutions. There may be overlapping classes/dates at the beginning and end of semesters. Plan accordingly when registering with Wake Tech.
- You are only allowed on AFHS’s campus for the periods you are registered for an AFHS course. If you have early release or late arrival, you are not permitted to remain on AFHS campus during those times, especially not to work on any courses for CCP.
- AFHS parking spots are NOT guaranteed for any students, and this applies to CCP students as well. Participating in CCP does not increase your likelihood of receiving a parking spot if you are an underclass student. CCP students are responsible for their transportation to and from school if they have a modified/reduced schedule.
- If you register for in-person courses at Wake Tech, please be mindful that your AFHS courses take priority. Your Wake Tech courses should not conflict with your AFHS course in any way - this includes the time it takes to commute between campuses.
- Once your EV Form has been approved and you’ve set up your Wake Tech account and registered for your Wake Tech courses, you will be sent the Dual Enrollment Agreement in which you will provide the names of the courses you’ve registered for, as well as the Early Release/Late Arrival Form if you intend to have a modified schedule.
