- Given to Sophomores during the school day, usually in October/November at no fee.
- PreACT score and predicted ACT score ranges align to the ACT 1–36 scale.
- Students may opt to share their information with colleges and scholarship agencies.
- ACT Interest Inventory results provide students with a personalized view of interests with college and career alignment.
- Valuable results provide actionable insights to help educators, parents and students make important decisions for the future.
- ​Pre-ACT (PLAN) score reports will be distributed in homeroom to 10th graders, usually Mid- December.

- In the United States, the ACT is given 6 times a year: September, October, December, February, April, and June you register for the tests you wish to take.
- AFHS will register you automatically for ONE ACT test. This test is usually administered in February of your junior and is free for juniors.
- You must register yourself for all other administrations of the ACT that you wish to take.
- Many high schools still recommend taking the ACT the spring of your junior year because the content of the math test includes topics some curricula do not cover before then. However, these topics appear in only a handful of questions, and many juniors take their first ACT in the fall or winter.

​Student Services does not take a role in sending any of these scores to your post secondary schools. Log onto the ACT website to send your scores directly to the college of your choice.
