March 8, 2015
As you know all juniors will now take the ACT on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. Juniors will be completing the background portion Tuesday and Wednesday this week, in preparation of taking the test. As a reminder, scores from this test can be used for college and university admissions, scholarships, etc. I encourage you to speak with your child regarding the importance of taking this test seriously due to the nature of the test and effects it can positively have on your child.
March 11 is the last day that students can register to take the AP exams in May. Any student who has had an AP class this school year is eligible to take the exam for free. There are no exceptions to the March 11 deadline at 3:00pm.
Monday evenng will wrap up our first Parenting Partners series. This awesome program helps to link parents to Wakefield High School and provides tips on parenting styles, communication, and consequences. If you are interested in learning more, contact Dr. Inscoe at linscoe@wcpss.net.
