This is Tripp Crayton, Principal at Wakefield High School, with your weekly announcement. Exams continue this week with Biology EOCs tomorrow, CC Math IB EOCs on Tuesday, 1st and 2nd Period Exams on Wednesday, and 3rd and 4th Period exams on Thursday. Please review our school website for the most up-to-date exam schedule. Students do not need to report to school if they do not have an EOC or exam scheduled on a particular exam day. Continue to encourage your child to do his/her best this week as we continue to wrap up another school year.
Due to district changes, high schools can no longer release early after exams since buses will not run until the end of the school day. However, students may leave early after their scheduled exams have ended each day with parental permission. Permission forms to leave early after scheduled exam periods can be printed from our school’s website along with required guidelines which must be adhered to on exam days. Students without signed parental permission to leave early will remain in supervised activities until the end of the school day.
The after school activity bus will no longer run for the remainder of the school year.
Summer school applications are now available in Student Services on both campuses as well as on the school’s website. Applications must be signed by both the parent and student. Applications must be turned in to Student Services by June 26th in order to be considered for summer school.
The remaining portion of this message is for seniors and senior parents:
Seniors are reminded that required graduation practice takes place tomorrow at the Raleigh Convention Center. You should arrive by 12:45 p.m. You should report to Exhibit Hall A and find your seat. Seniors who have paid all fines will receive their graduation tickets that day.
As a reminder, graduation is Saturday night at 8:00 p.m. Graduates must be at the Raleigh Convention Center properly dressed and ready to go by 7:00 p.m.
As always, it’s all about the “W”. Enjoy the rest of your day and let’s have an amazing week. Goodbye.
