All parents of a student with a disability with an IEP are invited to complete a survey sponsored by Wake County Special Education Services, as they continue to look for ways to improve services to students and families. If you are interested in completing this survey, please visit the WCPSS website.
The Wakefield High School prom will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 8:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel on Hillsborough Street near the N.C. State campus. Students and guests must arrive by 9:30 p.m. in order to be admitted into the event. Please make sure you speak with your child to make appropriate choices that evening along with activities afterwards. Prom Night is a special evening, and we look forward to seeing everyone dressed up ready for a fabulous evening.
All ninth-eleventh grade students will receive a course verification sheet next year, which corresponds to the courses students signed up for next year during registration sessions. These verification sheets may include teacher recommendations as well. Parents should discuss these sheets with students, sign the sheet, and have students return the sheet to Student Services by Friday, April 24, 2015.
The Wakefield High School band is holding an interest meeting on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. to all interested students/parents interested in joining marching band, including Color Guard. Also, our band will be having a Family Fun Night at PDQ from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.

This is Tripp Crayton, Principal at Wakefield High School, with your weekly announcement. Make sure you visit our website to see the numerous events taking place over the next several weeks, including final concerts, fine arts performances, athletic events, awards’ banquets, etc. In addition, our Spring Exam Schedule will be posted on our website by the end of the week. Senior exams will begin on Tuesday, May 26th with underclassmen exams beginning Friday, May 29th.
