All juniors will take the ACT on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. Testing will occur all morning until lunch. Therefore, juniors will not be able to leave during testing. Please encourage your child to get a good night’s rest and try his/her very best Tuesday.
The PowerSchool Parent Portal email notification system is currently not functioning. You will need to log on to your PowerSchools Portal account to view information about your child's grade and attendance. Our IT team is working to correct this issue, but currently we do not have an estimate of when the notification system will be working again.
Wakefield High School Agricultural Education will host the 4th annual Agriculture Symposium on Wednesday, March 18th at 6:00 pm in the Auditorium. Seminars will take place throughout the 300 hall showcasing student research and demonstrations related to agriculture. Horses, chickens, urban gardening and aquaponics will be some of the topics that will be presented. Join us for an evening of free agriculture activities showcasing WHS work from 6-8pm. Take away plants, enjoy snacks and learn something about the food and fiber industry.
Help raise money for two local families, including one of our very own Wakefield High School students. Her family is hosting a FREE prosthetic clinic in San Benito, Guatemala. Eat at Macaroni Grill @ 3421 Sumner Blvd Raleigh anytime on March 17th, 18th, and 19th and tell them you are supporting Guatemala prosthetics. They will donate a portion of all designated proceeds to this cause. Although this is not school-sponsored event, it is a worthy cause you may wish to participate in.

There will be a Graduation Information Night for seniors and their parents on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Graduation processes and procedures will be discussed during this important meeting.
Jostens will be on campus on Thursday, March 19th (last names A-M) and Friday, March 20th (last names N-Z) during SMART lunch to deliver cap and gown units as well as senior products. All items must be paid for in full before students can receive their products. Online payments must be made 48 hours prior to the delivery date. Cash or money order only will be accepted on the delivery date. If you need to place an order, visit trianglegrad.com.
Our PTSA will be offering 7 scholarship opportunities for students in the Class of 2015. Applications can be found on the Wakefield HS PTSA website, linked on our website, or can pick up at Student Services. Applications are due on Monday, April 6, 2015. A student can apply for any scholarship that they feel they are eligible for, but can only win one scholarship. Both the student and at least one parent/guardian must be a PTSA member by Tuesday, March 31, 2015.
