- President's Volunteer Service Award: GLHS PTSA is now an official certifying organization for The President's Volunteer Service Award! If your student is an avid volunteer, please take time to review the guidelines to apply for this distinguished award. The application deadline is April 1.

Thursday, April 4
- 3-Year Graduation Interest Meeting: North Carolina House Bill 259 requires us to notify our current enrolled 9th and 10th-grade students of the opportunity to graduate from high school after their third year. This legislation allows students to apply to be a 3-Year Graduate. Eligible students apply for this flexibility if they meet the state’s minimum graduation requirements. GLHS will hold a virtual meeting for interested students and families on Thursday, April 4 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. During this meeting, we will review all available information and provide an opportunity for questions. RSVP is required to receive a virtual meeting link.

- Multicultural Showcase from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the auditorium. NHS students have been working hard on this event and promise it will be fun! Come celebrate the vibrant cultures at our school and support our students. There will be music, dance performances, and food (no cooking for you on Friday night!)
Green Level Marching Band Raffle

GLHS Black Student Union Service Project
The GLHS Black Student Union is committed to providing support for the Black community at GLHS. We are partnering with 100 Black men, an organization dedicated to providing financial support for Black high school graduates through mentorship programs and scholarships. We kindly ask that you please donate to this cause at 100bmte.org from April 8 through 12.
Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)
The ASVAB will be given to interested students on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, beginning at 7:30 AM in the Media Center. This self-paced, computer assessment is optional and provides tools to help students learn more about career exploration and planning, in both the civilian and military worlds of work.
- Students must be at least 16 years of age (on the testing date) to be eligible to take the ASVAB.

One Man Show Performance
On April 9 at 7:00 pm, the Green Level Theatre presents, “Enduring Passion and Falling from Pride!” This is a one-man show that was written, directed, technical directed, and stars the one and only, Em Ockert. Em was recently awarded the Elizabeth Grimes Droessler Scholarship for their contribution to Fine Arts in WCPSS. Tickets to this event are FREE, but limited. Rising Senior Night
Juniors and parents of juniors, please join us on Thursday, April 11 from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM in the Green Level auditorium! We will have information about the pathways students can explore after high school: enlistment, enrollment, and employment. Guest speakers will be covering each of these areas, along with helpful information to navigate each pathway. We look forward to seeing you!
Prom Tickets
Mark your calendars! On April 27 from 7-11 pm, step back into the glitz and glamor of the roaring twenties at our Great Gatsby-themed prom. Juniors and Seniors may purchase their tickets via Go Fan. Students must not owe materials or parking fines to purchase a ticket. Please contact April Mack or Jeremy Hodges with any questions.

National Honor Society Application Window
The application window for National Honor Society has opened. Students who would like to apply must attend one of the eight information sessions (see AllTimely) remaining in March and April during Connectivity. Applications are due on May 3. If you have any questions, email Ms. Singh at psingh@wcpss.net.
WCPSS Student Survey
In the spring, students in grades 5-13 will be asked to complete the annual WCPSS Student Engagement Survey. The survey includes questions about teacher-student relationships, relevance of school work, and future aspirations and goals. The results of this survey help schools monitor their School Improvement Plans, and help the district track student perceptions about their educational experiences. The survey is available now through May 31. We would like all students at GLHS to have the opportunity to take the survey which can be accessed through each student’s WakeID portal.
Parent RoundTable
We are inviting parents for an open dialogue on Tuesday, April 30, with Ms. Summers, Mr. Williams, and Ms. Roberts about this school year. We would like to hear about strengths and areas of improvement regarding Student Expectations, Honor Code Policy, and any other topic on your mind. More information is forth coming, so for now, please mark your calendar:
