Hi! My name is Courtney Maready. I live in Apex with my husband, two sons, and dog, Parker. Some of my favorite things to do are hiking and camping and anything that involves water, especially the ocean, with my family and close friends. I reside in Apex and am so excited to be starting my journey here at Olive Chapel. I have been in education for close to a decade. I graduated from Lee University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Birth-6th grade education. I taught 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades before making a change over to CCR. I can truly say this is where my heart lies. As a classroom teacher, I always looked for innovative ways to support my students that needed a different approach to learning. I am passionate about supporting all students and helping them become not just stronger learners but also better citizens of our world.

Hi! I’m excited to be teaching at Olive Chapel. I’ve been teaching since 2015, and I have master’s degrees in Special Education from Shenandoah University and Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. Before moving to North Carolina, I taught in Northern Virginia, and I’m really enjoying being part of this wonderful community.
 
Outside of school, my favorite people are my two awesome boys, Connor and Parker. I also have a sweet Labradoodle named Shiloh who keeps me on my toes! I love spending time with my family and am looking forward to a great year getting to know my students and their families!

My name is Jalyce Norman and I grew up right here in the peak of good living! I attended Olive Chapel as a student and I’m so excited to be back as a staff member!  After graduating from Panther Creek High School, I went to Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology.  I like to be out seeing sights, taking walks, enjoying nature, the occasional shopping trip, and spending time with my family and friends when possible.  Olive Chapel has always felt like a second family, and with my mom working in the front office, it couldn’t be truer. I have always known this school was one-of-a-kind and it’s amazing to have this vantage point and see how encouraging and dedicated the staff is to their students and each other.

Hi! I am a CCR teacher here at Olive Chapel. I have been teaching for over 20 years. I love what I do and being able to work with and support students. I live with my husband of 20-plus years and our 2 children, Emma, our daughter and Owen, our son and our 2 dogs, Gracie and Kona. I love being a part of the OCE family.

Hi! My name is Maria Kriegel. I grew up in central Illinois and attended Illinois State University. I moved to North Carolina in 2012, and have considered it home ever since. I currently live in Apex with my sweet dog, Becca. My parents, brothers and their wives, and my two adorable nephews live in Chicago, all who I miss dearly, but I don't miss the cold! In my free time, I love spending time outdoors, at the beach, hiking, or paddleboarding. I enjoy reading, journaling, live music, lifting weights, and yoga. 
 
I have been teaching in the ECS classroom for over ten years. I started in middle school, but have truly found my passion the past 3 years at the elementary school.  Every year I look forward to new memories, learning, laughing, and unconditional love.
