Welcome to Second Grade! My name is Mrs. Cabaleiro. I've been teaching for over 15 years. I have taught first and second grade. Second grade is definitely my favorite!

I was born in Atlanta, GA but my family moved to Cary, NC when I was just a baby. I grew up in Wake County Schools and I graduated from Apex High School! I went to Campbell University where I played 4 years of volleyball. GO CAMELS! I graduated in 2007 and then again in 2011 with my Masters in Education.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my amazing children. My son, Jackson, and my daughter, Campbell, both go to school at OCE. We love playing with Legos, going to the pool, playing at the park, riding bikes, and taking trips to the beach. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you!

Hello, I am Ms. Donaldson and I am excited for our time together in 2nd grade!  I have two boys, Jacob, who is 25 years old, and Caleb, who is 17 years old. My husband teaches college students writing. We live in Holly Springs along with our cat, Lego (short for Legolas). We love to travel. Our latest trip was a road trip along the Pacific Coast Highway.  We started in Seattle and drove down to see the Redwoods in Northern California. I love to travel! I have also been to Australia, Aruba, and Costa Rica. The Aruba trip might be my favorite because I love the beach!
 
I have taught for over 15 years. Before teaching 2nd grade, I taught 1st grade for 3 years. Second grade is my favorite by far! This year, we are going to have fun and work hard. We are going to encourage each other and be challenged by each other. We may be a little silly, too.

Hi! My name is Mrs. Abramo and I'm looking forward to being your child's 2nd grade teacher. It’s going to be a fun year full of challenges, learning, and excitement. This year your child will continue the work of becoming a great reader, mathematician, author, scientist, community leader and good friend. I have a daughter named Aubrey and a son named Greyson who both attend Olive Chapel.
 
I grew up in a small beach town in New Jersey called Point Pleasant. I moved here in 2007 and absolutely fell in love with it! I graduated from UNC Charlotte in 2011 and have been teaching ever since.

Hello! My name is Mrs. Tuyetnga Levesque and I am a 2nd Grade Teacher and love being part of the Olive Chapel Elementary family. I have been teaching in North Carolina for over 16 years and cannot think of a more rewarding job than inspiring children to love reading and most of all learning! When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my husband Christopher and my son Oliver. Oliver also attends OCE and loves being a OCE Clipper! We love to go to the park, shopping, movies, and trying out new places to eat. We also enjoy visiting our family in parts of N.Y. and Florida.

Hello! Welcome to 2nd grade! I am Ms. Herman. I am so excited about being your teacher this year. This will begin my 4th year of teaching, and my 2nd year at Olive Chapel! I can not wait to meet each of you! This year is going to be so fun!

I am originally from western North Carolina, and currently live in the area. I live with my husband and 2 pups. I love being outdoors with my family, going kayaking, and traveling.

My name is Mrs. Martin and I am very excited to be part of the Olive Chapel family. I am originally from High Point, NC. I attended and graduated from UNCG with a Bachelor of Science in education with K-6 certification/licensure and minor in sociology in 2016. This is my 10th year teaching. I have experience teaching grades 1st, 2nd, and 4th, but truly enjoy teaching 2nd grade. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. Our family loves exploring various attractions, trying new foods, and relaxing in our spare time.

I graduated from the North Carolina Teaching Fellows Program at UNC Chapel Hill with a degree in Elementary Education and a teaching certificate (K-6).  I taught fourth grade for many years before moving to the second grade team at Olive Chapel Elementary School. 

I love to go on "adventures" and learn new things with my family. We enjoy spending time outside and we feel blessed to live in North Carolina. We have recently reached our goal of "going on an adventure" in each of the 100 NC counties. Our favorite locations included Kitty Hawk (sand dunes), Shackleford Island (wild horses), Ocracoke (lighthouses), Merchants Millpond State Park (cypress swamp), Mount Mitchell (highest peak east of the Mississippi), and the Great Smoky Mountains. Of all of the towns that I have visited in NC, I love Apex the most and I am thankful to have the opportunity to work at OCE.

I am super excited to be your child’s 2nd grade teacher. This will be my 5th year of teaching and my 4th year at Olive Chapel. I have previously taught 3rd grade as well! My goal for your students is to discover their best, try new things, and be the best student they can be. It’s going to be an amazing year in 2nd grade!
 
I've lived in North Carolina since I was 2. I went to Wake County Schools and graduated from NC State with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education w/ STEM. I played Basketball, Baseball, Soccer,, and Football growing up and also learned how to play a couple of instruments as well. 
If I’m not in the classroom you can find me out and about keeping busy. I coach the Flag Football club here at OCE, I coach baseball outside of school, I play "professional" kickball and softball for fun, and whenever there is an NC State sporting event, I will be there cheering for the Wolfpack. Go Pack!!

Hello, my name is Cathy Scala. I am an Apex High School graduate. I earned my K-6 Elementary Education and K-12 Reading Instruction from ECU. I have 27 years of teaching experience and have been at Olive Chapel Elementary since 2000. My family lives in Apex with our chocolate lab, Tullah and our two cats, Miss Harley and The Dude. I like to read, listen to music, and swim.
