Welcome to Second Grade! My name is Mrs. Cabaleiro. I've been teaching for over 15 years. I have taught first and second grade. Second grade is definitely my favorite!
I was born in Atlanta, GA but my family moved to Cary, NC when I was just a baby. I grew up in Wake County Schools and I graduated from Apex High School! I went to Campbell University where I played 4 years of volleyball. GO CAMELS! I graduated in 2007 and then again in 2011 with my Masters in Education.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my amazing children. My son, Jackson, and my daughter, Campbell, both go to school at OCE. We love playing with Legos, going to the pool, playing at the park, riding bikes, and taking trips to the beach. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you!

I am excited for our time together in 2nd grade! I have taught for over 12 years. Reading and writing are my favorite subjects to teach. I hope you fall in love with reading and writing just like me! I am from a little town in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. I earned my teaching degree at Western Carolina University. Fun fact: my parents still live in the house that I grew up in. I currently live in Holly Springs with my family and my very lazy cat, Lego. This year, we are going to work hard but have fun. We are going to encourage each other and be a little silly, too. Hi! My name is Mrs. Abramo and I'm looking forward to being your child's 2nd grade teacher. It’s going to be a fun year full of challenges, learning, and excitement. This year your child will continue the work of becoming a great reader, mathematician, author, scientist, community leader and good friend. I have a daughter named Aubrey who attends Olive Chapel and a toddler named Greyson who keeps me smiling and busy!
I grew up in a small beach town in New Jersey called Point Pleasant. I moved here in 2007 and absolutely fell in love with it! I graduated from UNC Charlotte in 2011 and have been teaching ever since.

Hello! My name is Mrs. Tuyetnga Levesque and I am a 2nd Grade Teacher and love being part of the Olive Chapel Elementary family. I have been teaching in North Carolina for over 16 years and cannot think of a more rewarding job than inspiring children to love reading and most of all learning! When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my husband Christopher and my son Oliver. Oliver also attends OCE and loves being a OCE Clipper! We love to go to the park, shopping, movies, and trying out new places to eat. We also enjoy visiting our family in parts of N.Y. and Florida.

My name is Mrs. Martin and I am very excited to be part of the Olive Chapel family. I am originally from High Point, NC. I attended and graduated from UNCG with a Bachelor of Science in Education with K-6 certification/licensure and Minor in Sociology in 2016. This is my 7th year teaching. I have experience teaching grades 1st, 2nd, and 4th, but truly enjoy teaching 2nd grade. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband, three boys, and I love exploring various attractions, trying new foods, and relaxing in our spare time.

I graduated from the North Carolina Teaching Fellows Program at UNC Chapel Hill with a degree in Elementary Education and a teaching certificate (K-6). I taught fourth grade for many years before moving to the second grade team at Olive Chapel Elementary School.
I love to go on "adventures" and learn new things with my family. We enjoy spending time outside and we feel blessed to live in North Carolina. We have recently reached our goal of "going on an adventure" in each of the 100 NC counties. Our favorite locations included Kitty Hawk (sand dunes), Shackleford Island (wild horses), Ocracoke (lighthouses), Merchants Millpond State Park (cypress swamp), Mount Mitchell (highest peak east of the Mississippi), and the Great Smoky Mountains. Of all of the towns that I have visited in NC, I love Apex the most and I am thankful to have the opportunity to work at OCE.

Hello, my name is Cathy Scala. I am an Apex High School graduate. I earned my K-6 Elementary Education and K-12 Reading Instruction from ECU. I have 27 years of teaching experience and am starting my 25th year at Olive Chapel Elementary. My family lives in Apex with our chocolate lab, Tullah and our two cats, Miss Harley and The Dude. I like to read, listen to music, and swim.
