Lead Receptionist

Hi, I'm Regina Norman, receptionist at Olive Chapel Elementary. I'm originally from The Big Apple, New York City.  My husband Arnell and I moved to Cary in 1996 and made Apex our home in 2000.

I started working as a WCPSS substitute teacher in 2011, and I've been in my role at OCE since January 2016. I absolutely LOVE my job and working with these sweet children every day.

I have two wonderful children of my own; a daughter, Jalyce, who started at OCE as a kindergartner, graduated from Appalachian State University (Go Neeeerrrsss!), and is now a teacher here at Olive Chapel. My sweet son, Jevon, also started at OCE as a kindergartner and is a senior at Apex Friendship High School in the Academy of Engineering program.

Olive Chapel Elementary has been near and dear to my heart for many years, so I feel absolutely blessed to be working here and serving the school in this role.  Smiles are contagious and I love spreading them!

My name is Kathryn Broaddus and I am lucky to be part of the wonderful front office staff at OCE. I am passionate about serving the community and our school. Over the past 6 years I have been an active classroom volunteer and heavily involved in many PTA projects. From book fairs, to renovating the teacher’s lounge, to fundraising, to even painting the playground - I have loved contributing to our school! As a former substitute teacher I enjoyed working closely with students and being able to pitch-in wherever I was needed. This experience ignited my passion for working at the elementary school level. My husband Scott and I have deep roots from our hometown in Kentucky but we have enjoyed living in Apex since 2013. We have two wonderful daughters who currently attend OCE in 5th grade and 2nd grade on Track 3. I proudly hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communications and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Kentucky. I truly look forward to greeting you at the front office!

I'm a proud mom to two fantastic OCE students, which keeps me on my toes and constantly amazed. I love painting abstract mixed media art, knitting, and always having a good book on hand. I absolutely love being part of this incredible team and getting to know all the amazing families and kids in our community.

I graduated from Campbell University with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree and spent 34 years working in the Financial Services field prior to joining the Olive Chapel Elementary team as School Secretary/Bookkeeper in 2017. I love supporting the amazing staff here at Olive Chapel who inspire me each day with their love for our students and their passion for teaching.

I live in Sanford with my husband Paul, who has spent his career at UPS. Our oldest son Patrick also works at UPS. Our daughter Casey is our Media Coordinator here at Olive Chapel Elementary. Our youngest son, Corey, is a software consultant and continues to serve in the Navy Reserves. In my spare time I love sewing, crafting, gardening, shopping and playing with my 3 Grand Kitties. I especially love spending time in my hometown of Southport with my nieces and nephews.

Hello! I'm so happy to be at Olive Chapel and have an opportunity to get to know your students! I have a background in public relations and corporate communications, and I graduated from West Virginia University with a B.S. in journalism. I'm currently working towards a master's degree in strategic communication.

My husband and I have one daughter who’s a student here at Olive Chapel. We also have two dogs - a mutt and a rescued Great Dane. When I’m not at school, I’m passionate about volunteering, an avid reader and a hobbyist photographer. I'm also the proud sponsor of the OCE Journalism Club. You can find the latest issue of our student newspaper, The Wavehere.
