Hello VSE Families!

My name is Heather Hicks, and I was born and raised in West Virginia. At age twenty, I started traveling around the world, which led me to my first preschool job in Tokyo, Japan in 2013. I taught preschool for the US Navy in Japan and then transferred to Jacksonville, NC where I continued to teach preschool for the US military and off post in Jacksonville until I was promoted to School Director.

I moved to Garner two years ago when I got married. I previously worked at Fuller Elementary as an Instructional Assistant in Preschool Special Education. Teaching preschool is my passion, and I enjoy watching the students grow and achieve their goals. I have worked in preschool classrooms since 2013 and love it! In my free time I enjoy cooking, traveling and spending time at the beach with our children and our two large dogs. I am so excited to be a part of the Eagle team at Vandora!
