Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Patricia Dobbin

I am married to Orlando Dobbin. We have three sons, a daughter-in-law and one grandson. Education has always been important to me.  I ranked third in my high school graduation class and tenth in my college graduation class. I have earned two master’s degrees and completed the Sixth Year Degree Program at East Carolina University. In 1977, I started my career in education in Gates County, NC.  Most of my career was spent in Bertie County Schools as a middle school teacher and at the District Office as an administrator responsible for curriculum and instruction. I retired in 2009 from Bertie County Schools.

My family and I moved to Clayton, NC. My love for children, teaching, and learning, led me to return to teaching in 2011. I have taught at Middle Creek Elementary and Vandora Springs Elementary Schools. I am also a substitute teacher for Wake County Schools. I am co-teaching with the fifth grade team at Vandora Springs Elementary School. I am enthusiastic about teaching and learning and believe that every child can learn. Students want to be successful. Therefore, I am committed to helping students achieve and reach their full potential.
