About: I’m so excited to be the band and music teacher at Washington! This will be my seventh year teaching. I was born and raised in Richmond, VA and music has been a part of my family for generations. I started playing the saxophone in 6th grade and immediately fell in love with music and wanted to learn more instruments so then I learned to play guitar, clarinet, flute, and trumpet. I received a Bachelors in Music from East Carolina in Music Education and Music Performance. During my time at ECU, I played in many bands and ensembles including the Marching Pirates and played at all the football games, which was such a cool experience!
