Hi Swift Creek Families!
My name is Rachel Sockman, and I’m excited to join Swift Creek this year as a school psychologist! This is my second year in the role as a school psychologist. I originally grew up in Raleigh and attended school in Wake County. After attending UNC-Wilmington for my undergraduate studies, I continued my education at Appalachian State University for graduate school.
In my free time, I enjoy yoga, running long distances, and reading. I also love tending to my house plants and taking walks with my 9-year-old Labrador retriever and my significant other. Traveling is a passion of mine, and I’ve been fortunate to visit many countries—hoping to explore even more in the future!
I’m passionate about mental health, building community, and supporting students' overall well-being. I look forward to collaborating with the amazing SCES staff, students, and families this year. I’m here to provide support to our community whenever it’s needed—my door is always open!
