Mrs. Jackie Aman - Literacy Intervention

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill - Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education; Reading Certified K-12; ESL Certified K-12

My name is Jackie Aman, and I am the Literacy Intervention Teacher at SCES. I am so excited to begin my first year working with the SCES staff, students, and families! I have been an educator in WCPSS for over 20 years, having served as a regular classroom teacher, Writing teacher, Literacy Coach, Intervention teacher, and Intervention facilitator.

I grew up in the small town of Elkin, NC in the foothills of North Carolina.  I was a Tarheel 💙 at an early age and ultimately received my BA in Elementary Education from UNC-Chapel Hill. I am married and have 2 daughters who both now attend UNC-Chapel Hill.  It's a family thing! (Go Heels!)

In my free time, I treasure time with my family and friends.  I love to exercise, especially outside. Biking, hiking, swimming, and snorkeling are some of my favorites.  I also enjoy listening to music, dancing, and gardening. Traveling to the US/British Virgin Islands, NC beaches, and the Blue Ridge Mountains makes me happy!

Mrs. Suzanna Krutsch - AIG

Penn State University - Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education

I was born in Alaska, but we moved to Pennsylvania when I was six and I lived there through college. Since then I haved moved south one state at a time: Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina. I plan to stay here or move north (where I have family) after I retire.

I have been teaching AIG in Wake County since 1995. Prior to that I taught middle school in Virginia. I love to challenge students and make them think. I'm not overly fond of paperwork.

My husband and I have two daughters (who are both grown up and living elsewhere), one dog, and three cats. My husband and I love to play board games and own a ridiculous number of them. (My favorite is probably Dominion.) I enjoy reading, writing poetry, and solving logic problems on my iPad.
