Hello! I arrived at Reedy Creek Elementary when it opened in the fall of 1999, as a parent. For the past thirteen years, I have had the tremendous pleasure to serve the entire Reedy Creek Elementary Family in the front office. In my spare time, I relish spending time and traveling with my family to visit family, spending time with dear friends, reading, live music, cooking, and eating great food.Nicole Snipes, Data ManagerHI! I am so delighted to join the Reedy Creek Elementary family!Catherine Yanello, Principal
Hi, I’m Catherine Yanello and I’m honored to be principal of Reedy Creek Elementary. This is my seventh year as the leader of our school. However, this is my thirteenth year as an administrator for Wake County Public Schools. I started out teaching in Wake County over twenty years ago and have taught Special Education and was also a Regular Education Classroom Teacher. I really enjoy building connections with students and staff, seeing students and staff grow, and being a part of a school family.
I’m originally from northern New York state, right on the Canadian border where the winters are long and very cold. Therefore, I really enjoy the weather in North Carolina and being able to go to the beach. I have a daughter who recently graduated from NCSU. I am a dog lover and enjoy walking my dogs, watching pro football games, spending time with family and friends, reading, and traveling.
