Meet the Team

  • Teresa Lickfeld
Hi Reedy Creek families! I relocated to Cary in 2019 from Myrtle Beach, SC where I attended Coastal Carolina University and began teaching in a CCR classroom in 2016. I have a Bachelor's degree in Learning Disabilities and a Master's degree in Intellectual Disabilities. When I am not at school, I love reading, working out, and going to the beach (which I miss so much!). My goal is to create an environment of mutual respect, confidence, and academic, social, and functional growth. I am so excited to watch my students learn and grow this year!

    Caitlin Parker
My name is Caitlin Parker, and I joined the Reedy Creek family in 2017.  I am passionate about working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder.  I graduated from Appalachian State in 2014 with a BS in Special Education: Adapted Curriculum.  When I am not at school, I love spending time with my fur children, and I have two cats and a corgi. During summer breaks, I love to scuba dive!

    Danielle Polk

My name is Danielle Polk. I am a native of the suburbs of New York.  I moved to Raleigh from Baltimore, MD in 2018.  When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending my time with my talented 10 yr old son, cooking, volunteering and creating new adventures.  I am an avid collector of Boyd’s Bears. Recently, I founded Birthing a Nation of Men, a summit dedicated to single mothers of males. I graduated from Coppin State University in Baltimore, MD with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education.  I have worked in the Special Education field since 2003.  I have worked with students ranging from 6-21 with various disabilities.
My belief is “Every child is gifted. The gifts are different and open at different times.”

I have taught special education at the elementary and middle school levels in Wake, Guilford and Forsyth counties. I have taught in self-contained, resource and inclusion classroom settings.
