Meet the Team

  • Paulette Currie
Hello Reedy Creek Family! I am Paulette Currie and I have been an educator since 2005.  I moved from Orlando, Florida to Raleigh in 2015.  I have instructed 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades with the majority of my years spent instructing all 5th grade subjects.  In my spare time I love spending time at the spa, local parks, traveling with my family, and trying new foods.  I look forward to a fun and exciting year at Reedy Creek!

    Brianna High
Hello everyone! I am Brianna High and I joined the Reedy Creek community in 2020. Being the child of an enlisted family member, I had the opportunity to move from place to place and can’t say I’m from one location, but I have called North Carolina home since the summer of 2018.  I graduated from the University of West Florida with a dual bachelor’s degree in K-12 Exceptional Student Education & Elementary Education with endorsements in Reading and ESOL and a master’s in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus in literacy.  I have a passion for promoting literacy in our community and it is one of my core missions to guide others to the door of possibilities that reading opens for us. When not in the classroom, I enjoy bouldering, hiking, reading/creative writing, painting, cooking/trying new restaurants, and volunteering with organizations within the Triangle.

    Kayla McIntosh
Hello! My name is Kayla McIntosh, and I am excited to be part of the fourth grade team at Reedy Creek Elementary. I am from the Syracuse, NY area. I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Certification in Dual Childhood and Special Education from Le Moyne College in 2012, and my Master’s in Elementary Education from Le Moyne College as well in 2014. In 2014 I moved to Robeson County and taught fourth grade there for four years. I also worked in Cumberland County teaching fourth grade from 2018-2020. In June 2020 I had the opportunity to move to the Raleigh/Durham area which has led me to teaching at Reedy Creek Elementary. When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my dogs, cooking, baking, reading, and spending time with friends and family. I am looking forward to working with all the staff, students, and families at Reedy Creek!

    Sarah McSwain
I am excited to join the Reedy Creek Elementary School team. I graduated from Converse College and have been an educator since 1997. I have had several breaks in between to raise my children. My background is primarily teaching fifth grade, so I am extremely thrilled to be teaching fifth grade math and science. My husband’s job recently brought us back to the Triangle from Hendersonville, NC. If I am not at school, you can find me outside enjoying hiking, boating, and snow skiing. I look forward to a great year of learning.
