Meet the Team
I was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina and I attended North Carolina State University for both undergraduate and graduate school. I have been teaching since 2012 in Wake County. The first two years of my career I taught at Hodge Road Elementary in kindergarten and the rest has been spent here at Reedy Creek in first grade. I have two sons, a daughter, a wonderful husband, and a dog named Bentley. In my free time I love to spend time with my family at the beach or hiking.
Hello families! I have been teaching in Wake County since 2012 and absolutley love what I do each day. I worked at another elementary school for 6 years before coming to Reedy Creek, teaching both Kindergarten and First grade in a Dual Immersion Language Program. I grew up in North Carolina and Ohio, moving back to NC to attend UNC Charlotte before moving to the Raleigh area. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading books, visiting the lake or beach, and fishing. I am very excited to begin this year's adventures with my students!
I was born and raised near the shore in New Jersey. Before moving to North Carolina this past summer, I taught second grade for sixteen years. This is my second year teaching at Reedy Creek Elementary. My husband, three children, and our dog, Finn, are enjoying our new hometown.
Hello and welcome Reedy Creek families! My heart belongs to my hometown area of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but I love living here in the south! I spend my time outside of school with my husband (also a PA native), our spunky daughter Sydney, and our three rescue dogs. If I’m not on my computer creating lessons, I can be found reading on our back deck, running through my neighborhood, or cooking something new for my family. I graduated from Cabrini University with a Bachelors of Science in Education, and I’m dual certified in Early Childhood & Elementary Education. I have been a classroom teacher since 2005, and have worked with a variety of grade levels in 3 states (PA, VA, & NC). I joined the Reedy Creek community in 2014, and I love being a part of the first grade team!
My name is Erica Rosado and this year marks my 8th year in education. I graduated from SUNY Old Westbury where I majored in Early Childhood Education with a Bilingual Extension. I am originally from New York City and moved to Cary in 2014. This will be my 6th year here at Reedy Creek. I have two beautiful daughters, Gabriella (10) and Siara (19). I enjoy reading, cooking, spending time with my family, friends, and my adorable dog Lucas.
Hello. My name is Elaine Shaw. I grew up in Westchester, New York. I graduated from SUNY Oneonta with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and obtained my Masters degree in Special Education with a concentration in Learning Disabilities from the College of New Rochelle. A few years after graduating New Rochelle, I moved to North Carolina. I have been teaching in Wake County for most of my career. In 2011, I joined the staff at Reedy Creek. I have taught first, second, and third grade at Reedy Creek. I am looking forward to meeting my new first grade class and working with them this year. Although I love to go back to New York to visit friends and family, I consider North Carolina my home. I live in Cary with my husband, Tom and my dog, Maggie. We enjoy the moderate climate. One of our favorite activities is walking my dog, Maggie, at Bond Park. We also enjoy traveling to new places or visiting family and friends. I believe it is going to be a wonderful school year.
Hi, I’m Emily Tadepalli, and I’m excited to be a part of the Reedy Creek Elementary First Grade team. I am a proud Summa Cum Laude graduate of Marshall University with Bachelor of Arts degrees in broadcast journalism and elementary education, as well as a Master of Arts in elementary education. I have taught in West Virginia, Ohio, and now in the beautiful state of North Carolina. My wonderful husband and I moved here in 2015. In my free time, I teach group fitness classes, bake, and puzzle, and it’s no secret I’m a huge fan of Mickey Mouse.
