Panorama Survey: Helping students do their best in school requires a team effort. Parents, students, and schools all play important roles in this process. Help us make students' school experience as positive and beneficial as possible by filling out this Family Engagement Survey. 

End-of-Grade Testing: The Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) is expecting all students to take the following tests as is required by federal and state laws. Let us work together to make your child’s experience a positive and successful one! We are preparing your child at school. Here are some suggestions you can do to help.   

• Ensure your child arrives at school on time by 9:15 a.m.    
• Have your child eat a healthy breakfast at home or at school.    
• Ensure your child gets a good night’s sleep.    
• Gently encourage them to do their best.    

On the following days your child will be taking our state’s standardized test online. 

Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will take the EOG State Test at the end of this school year. Should your child meet the criteria for our EOG Remediation and Readministration program you will receive an invitation for your child to attend the program after the EOG testing window closes for our school on June 7. For your planning purposes, the program dates for the end of the school year are June 13 and 14. Transportation will be provided, and breakfast and lunch will be available.

New Principal Input Sessions: Parents and community members can submit their input in one of the following formats. 

• Attend an in-person input session at Conn on Wednesday, May 8 at 9:30 a.m.;
• Attend a virtual input session on Wednesday, May 8 at 6:00 p.m.; and/or
• Provide feedback digitally by completing this survey by Friday, May 10 at 11:59 p.m.

PTA Updates: 

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6-10. Please check your child’s weekly folder for ideas on how to thank our teachers and staff!  

PTA Bike/Roll/Walk to School Day is Wednesday, May 8. Meet at Lions Park playground (516 Dennis Ave, Raleigh, NC 27604) around 8:15 a.m. for coffee, snacks, and bike decorating. We’ll ride to school together around 8:40 a.m. Remember a helmet, reusable coffee mug, and bike lock if you plan to leave your student’s bike at school. Streamers and such will be available, but feel free to contribute any other bike decorations you have lying around to make it a fun, festive, ride. Join the Conn Magnet PTA for a Week of Service! Throughout the week of May 13-17, the PTA will be hosting both clothing and food drives. You can drop off your donations throughout the week.
