Ms. Chidester's Weekly Message: 12/01/23

 

Dear Conn Magnet Elementary School Families,     

 
We hope everyone had a wonderful long holiday weekend. We are excited to welcome the month of December as we have many fun and engaging activities planned for students.  

 

Lost and Found: Please encourage your child to check the lost and found for any missing coats or items. The lost and found is located under our yellow stairs. A large number of items have been collected. Items that are not claimed will be donated to charity over winter break.  

 

December Spirit Week Mondag 12/11 - Walking in Q Winter Wonderland! Wear white, snowflakes, etc. Tuesday 12/12 - We are family! Coordinate outfits with your grade level. *Your teacher will let you know what color to wear. Wednesday 12/13 - T 'Was the week before Winter Break! Wear your school appropriate pqarnos and loungewear. *No slippers. Thursday 12/14 - Mad about plaid! Wear your plaid and flannel attire. Friday 12/15 - What ore you doing New Wear's Eve!? Dress in your fancy New year's Eve attire.

 

PTA Updates: Conn PTA's Advocacy Committee wants your input on the most important issues facing Conn in 2024! In the PTA, advocacy means speaking up for the well-being of children. For example, the state PTA's legislative priorities for 2024 include parent engagement, mental health & wellness, nutrition, and funding. We invite parents and teachers to join us for a virtual discussion on Wednesday, December 13 at 8:00 p.m. to help us decide where we can make a difference.  Register for the meeting and take a pre-survey hereIf you can't attend the meeting, we still want your input in the survey!
