Dear Conn Magnet Elementary School Families,    

Book Character Day Parade: Mark your calendars for Friday, October 27 from 9:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for Conn’s Book Character Day Parade! All PreK through 5th grade students will be allowed to come dressed as their favorite storybook character. The book may be fictional or non-fictional and must be brought to school on the day of the parade. Students will parade around the outside track dressed as their character. Parents/Guardians will enter campus through the side gate by the field. To ensure the safety of our staff and students, no access to the building will be allowed during that time. Additional information and details will be shared from classroom teachers. We are so excited about this event! 

Donations Needed: Our students participate in many hands-on learning experiences each day. As we continue to embed our Entrepreneurial Design IDEAS Cycle theme across all content areas, we need support with gathering the following supplies so our IDEAS can come to life! If you are interested in donating some of these items, please send them in with your child. We will also have a bin at carpool and in the main office. Thank you for your support!

PTA Updates: 

All For Conn, our largest giving campaign of the school year, officially kicks off Monday, October 2. This campaign is a “no fuss” fundraiser, meaning we are not asking you to sell anything, we’re simply asking for your best donation. 100% of your donation goes directly back to the school. Last year, we set the goal to keep all community events, such as KinderConn, Winter Dance, and CONNival, free for families. We would like to continue that tradition, but we need your help! Any donation makes a difference. Give Today!

Tools for Schools: Planning to attend the State Fair next month? Earn money for our school by using school code 380 when you purchase your advance tickets. For each Advance Adult Gate Admission Ticket, the State Fair will donate $2 to Conn Magnet Elementary. Each Advance Child Gate Admission Ticket is $1 donated. To support our school, enter your school code 380 under "Membership" at check-out on the Tools for Schools link. This promotion is only available online in advance of the fair. Tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 12.
