Dear Conn Magnet Elementary School Families,     

  

Art Focus Area Highlight- CONNgratulations to the 30 4th and 5th graders who have their artwork featured at Marbles Kids Museum through the end of this month! We are so proud of these students and hope you can stop by the museum to check out Conn's display before October 1!  

 

 
   

 

Parent and Community Volunteers Registration: All WCPSS parent and community volunteers are required to register through the MyVolunteer system. Conn Magnet Elementary offers in-house training for new volunteers to review specific school volunteer procedures and opportunities. Our next training session is Wednesday, September 27 at 4:30 p.m. No need to sign up- just check in at the office upon arrival. 

  • On the MyVolunteer site, you will find disclosure and authorization forms, the WCPSS Volunteer Agreement, as well as a summary of rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. You must review these documents and provide the requested information.   

  • Make sure you include your name and contact information when you begin the registration process.  If you leave the CRC background site before completing your contact information, you will have to begin the process again.   

  • You must include your social security number to register to volunteer. If you do not have a social security number, please contact volunteers@wcpss.net or call 919-694-8233.   

  • You will be notified by the MyVolunteer system if you are approved to volunteer.

PTA Walk to School Day: Celebrate "Walktober" this October with the Conn PTA Wellness Committee! Grab some coffee and snacks and walk or roll to school with us on Wednesday, October 4. Park or meet at the Temple Baptist Church parking lot between 8:20 a.m. - 8:40 a.m. (near the Watauga Street entrance). We'll start walking together at 8:40 a.m. Start the day with friends and fun!
