Teacher Appreciation Week

Teacher Appreciation Week is a time to honor our teachers for their passion, resilience, and dedication!  Due to AP testing, we decided to bump Teacher Appreciation Week from May 16 to May 20 so everyone can relax and enjoy being spoiled.  Anything you can do to help us show our staff how much we appreciate them is gladly welcomed!  You would be surprised how far a card, note, or piece of candy can make our day!

Advisory

We know everyone is thrilled that AP exams are over! To make up for lost time, we are holding Advisory classes on Monday and Tuesday this week! We will distribute Quarter 4 Interims tomorrow.  Parents- please ask your son/daufghter for a copy.

 


Unite for Ukraine

The Student Council will be hosting a fundraiser to raise funds for families in Ukraine. Student Council will be accepting donations during both lunches starting this Tuesday until May 31st. Students who make a donation will receive a free bracelet. All donations will go to the "United Ukrainian-American Relief Committee." 

 


Chorus Pops Concert

Our final chorus performance of the year is our Pops Concert on Tuesday May 17 at 7pm. Please come and support our amazing chorus students for their final performance of the year. Tickets are only $5 online or at the door. Tickets can be purchased in advance at glhstheatre.seatyourself.biz

 


Student Facilitators Needed

Students who are interested in becoming a Round Table facilitator should come to an interest meeting on May 17 during connectivity.  Round Table is a weekly conversation with and among students, teachers, and staff.  We cover a variety of topics, but always relate the topic back to our Gator Community.  If you're interested in learning more, come to connectivity on May 17, room 1143- Sarah Hill and Ashley Nation.

 


Spirit Nights

Apex IHOP

The GLHS UNICEF club will also be assisting with the efforts to support families in Ukraine - visit the Apex IHOP on May 18th and a portion of your purchase will go to UNICEF programs while it will serve families in need. Fliers for the event can be found on GLHS Instagram and Twitter.

 

Stone Creek Chick-fil-A

Green Level Band Boosters is inviting everyone to Chick-fil-A on Thursday, June 2 from 5-9 pm, drive-thru only at Stone Creek Village to help fundraise for our Marching Band! 

 


PTSA General Meeting

The Green Level PTSA will hold a General Membership Meeting on Thursday, May 19 at 6 pm in the Green Level Commons Area.  Please join us to approve the slate of officers and interim budget for the 2022/23 school year.  Hear about our plans for the upcoming school year and how you can get involved to help make it a success!  We look forward to seeing you at The Swamp!

Cary Magazine Grad Announcements

Seniors, Cary Magazine is posting graduation announcements, FREE, in the June/July issue of Cary Magazine.  All you need to do is upload a photo and a message HERE!

 

Senior Muffin Day

Due to AP exams, we moved “Senior Muffin Day” to Wednesday, May 25.  Please wear your senior shirt or show your ID.

 

Senior Activities Committee

Parents are encouraged to attend our last Senior Activities meeting on Wednesday, May 25 from 6:00 to 7:00 in the media center for the latest information about Senor Night, exams, and graduation.

 


Information for Juniors

Save the Date

Your senior year is about to begin!  Officially kick it off by taking your senior portraits (tux, drape, cap, and gown) pictures at Green Level High School from July 18 to 22.  More information is coming.

 

Senior Fees

To ensure every senior has a special year, we are asking each senior to pay a $75 fee to help cover expenses (senior shirt, senior gift, senior dinner, stole, diploma, graduation expenses, etc…) over the year. If you would like to sponsor another student, we are gladly accepting additional donations. Please use this link HERE or submit a check to GLHS with your rising senior name in the subject line.

Student Material Turn In

 

Senior Students

All senior students must turn in their materials on May 24 & 25 ( please note date change) during Connectivity and 2nd period in the library.  At this time, they can pay for any outstanding fees or lost materials. If seniors need materials past this date, please make arrangements with Mrs. Ashley & Mrs. Powell.  Accounts must be clear to receive graduation tickets.

 

9th-11th Grade Students:

Underclassmen must turn in their library books, textbooks, and English novels May 31-June 3.  Students will keep their WCPSS Lenovo Chromebooks until their graduation.  

 


Fine Arts Boosters Volunteers Needed

Please help us to increase our volunteers as we prepare for the 2022-2023 school year! We would love to have you more involved in growing our Fine Arts programs and supporting our amazing teachers! Final Exams

Green Level High School's Spring semester final exams will take place the week of June 6-10, 2022. The final exam schedule can be found HERE! 

 

If your son/daughter is taking an EOC (Math I, Math 3, English 2, or Biology) or CTE Exam (Animal Science II, Horticulture II, Principles of Business, Financial Planning I and II, Foods and Nutrition I and II, and Health Science I), they must be in person as required by state policy. This includes Virtual Academy and NCVPS students. If your child is enrolled in any of the courses that were mentioned, you MUST complete the Final Exam Survey If you have multiple students enrolled in these courses, please complete one survey per student.
