On-Campus COVID-19 Testing
This week, in partnership with MAKO Medical, we will begin offering free, weekly COVID-19 testing on-campus for GLHS students and staff. Testing will be conducted on Thursdays from 6:45-8:15 AM in Room 0131. Participation in the program is voluntary. To register your child, click HERE. A parent or guardian must register students under 18 years old. Once registered, students are eligible to be tested weekly. Here's how it works:
Trained MAKO Medical staff quickly and gently swab students’ noses. They place multiple swabs in a single tube (that’s the pooling step), which are then tested as a single sample. If a positive test is received, everyone in the “pool” will return to school the next day to take another test to identify the person who tested positive for COVID-19. Click HERE to learn more about pooled testing.
The intent of this program is to identify asymptomatic positive cases. Students experiencing symptoms should stay home and follow the WCPSS Guidelines for Returning to Campus. Questions should be directed to Darren Williams (dwilliams7@wcpss.net) or Karah Bullins (kbullins@wcpss.net).
GLHS Literary Magazine
